About Skit Motion
Skit Motion is the student skit collective of our college. We exist for one simple reason: to make each other, and our campus, laugh.
What we do
We write original short sketches about student life, rehearse them through the semester and perform them at college events. Our pieces are comedy first — the group project that never gets started, the canteen queue, the presentation with no preparation — but they are always drawn from things we have actually lived through together.
Everyone in the troupe is a student. We write, act, direct and manage the stage ourselves, and new members join at the start of every academic year.
How we work
Scripts begin as ideas shared in our open rehearsal sessions, where anyone can bring a scene and read it aloud. The pieces that land get polished, cast and staged. That loop — write, try, perform — is the whole method, and it is why our skits sound like they were written by the people watching them.
